He's so Amazing!

I'm in awe most days! Totally amazed how a life can change in an instant. Jesus truly does keep his promises.

He said. "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. John 5:24

Having experienced this first hand, and knowing what it is Jesus did for me, I can't help but share when people who have known me or years, known my struggles and history, say, "You've changed." "You're different." and one of my favorites, "You are glowing".   It was nothing I personally did. He changed me in an instant. It took a little while to put my thumb on the change. One day I was sticking to a strict schedule of exercise and daily rituals and using oils and herbs to ward off anxiety, depression, panic attacks and daily suicidal thoughts that hit out of no where, to totally forgetting about them, not needing to take them. It was a full week before I noticed. When the realization hit, I was floored, and still am.

How many times I begged, pleaded, threw myself on on the ground, to my knees and begged to have the weight lifted. Wondering what was wrong with me. Why was I given these things to deal with that would cause me to dread each day? Was there some sin I still needed to repent of before he could help me? It was like I was literally shoving these heavy burdens, these chains, onto Jesus but he was rejecting them. Was he "rejecting" them or was he unable to take them?

I had to take the journey I did to find Jesus. The real true Jesus. I am happy and free, in Christ!

1 John 4:18-19 NIV "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because He first loved us."

Why I'm not comfortable with anyone being a Mormon.

Recently, a 10 year friendship was very hurt over my blunt honesty. She couldn't be friends with someone who wasn't comfortable with her being Mormon. She didn't want to read any of my "Anti Mormon Propaganda" so how else am I suppose to tell her why? (Anti Mormon Propaganda = Anything that isn't "Church Approved" material)

Truthfully. I am not comfortable with ANYONE being Mormon. Not just her. I wish she would have been more open and willing to discuss it but she put on the usual close minded Mormon facade, said she was happy I was happy and chose to be extremely hurt. Can I accept her as a Person? Absolutely!! But being comfortable, sorry. I am not only being honest with her, but also to myself. I can't be comfortable, which is what she asked me to be.

She, in a sense, may as well tell me I need to be comfortable with someone being gay, or a child molester. That will never happen. Can I accept them as people who are misguided or made mistakes? Absolutely! Just like my acceptance with someone being Mormon and misguided. I would hope I would be afforded the same courtesy for my sins and mistakes. I have friends who aren't "comfortable" with me being a total "Jesus Freak" but they still love and accept me, as a person.

Another thing she brought up was she feels personally attacked when I point out bad doctrine about the Mormon Church. She stated that's who she is. She is Mormon. She is the doctrine. No... The LDS church is a Corporation and cannot be a person. If the LDS church were to one day be null and void, would that make her null and void? No.. Because she is an individual. A beautiful creation of God. She is singular.. Not physically woven into the Corporation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You cannot share your identity with a corporation.

At times in the conversation I was silent. I wanted to tell her the truth of her words but was restrained. Other times I wanted to lash back at her, as she was lashing out at me but the verse in James kept coming to mind. "...everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry," I'm sure she took it another way but I could not speak without it, in some form or another, hurting her or cause her to yell at me.

I've felt this friendship might never have been built on trust and honesty but more of a "tickling of the ears", feel good to be around, relationship. I knew I would be putting our friendship in jeopardy by being honest but I had hoped my complete honesty would have been taken better then she took it. Hopefully time will help heal the hurt and bring some light on things. If what I said really bothered her enough, I hope she takes the time to look into the reasons why.

Here are the reasons why I feel this way. It has nothing to do with the people but the doctrine and message the LDS church teaches and sends.

#1. It's built upon lies. They have white washed their history and provide a wide array of propaganda materials and videos to twist and distort the true Gospel in the bible. They put it to heart felt music and use Christian terminology with twisted meanings. They tell their followers to only use "church approved" materials for teaching and studying. Those materials constantly change. They send messages of fear, worded so sweetly, to coerce the members to stay away from anything not "church approved" to keep them ignorant of their true history. In most of their messages it's not what they say that sends the most powerful message but what isn't said. What is always being implied.

#2 Their Temple endowment was stolen from the Masons by Joseph Smith. The symbols the endowed members wear are of the occult and keep them spiritually blinded as they wear them. In the Temple they covenant to wear the garment, day and night and never remove them. Satan is with Adam and Eve in the "loan and dreary world" and he threatens the patrons, before he's cast out by Peter, before they make any of the covenants. He says " If they do not walk up to every covenant they make at these altars in this temple this day, they will be in my power! " I truly believe they are under his power by wearing occult symbolism day and night. Before 1990 The penalties for braking any of the covenants were some pretty gruesome and explicate ways their life would be taken. Brian and I experienced them in 1994 in the Polygamy Endowment. Polygamists hold to the old ways the Mormons use to do things without changing them to fit the comfort level of it's members.

These are some things that we noticed were missing between the Polygamist endowment and the LDS endowment:
1. Protestant minister paid by Lucifer to preach false doctrine was eliminated.
2. All penalties (and gestures like throat slashing, chest slashing and bowel slashing) were eliminated.
3. Women's promise to be obedient to husbands was modified.
4. The intimate position at the veil (foot to foot, knee to knee, breast to breast, hand on shoulder and mouth to ear) was eliminated. (5 Points of fellowship)
5. The strange words "Pay Lay Ale" (meaning "Oh God hear the words of my mouth") were eliminated.

Since then, other changes have been made in the "washing and anointing" session and sitting and standing ritual during the endowment. All changes were made to make the patrons feel more "comfortable". Does God change to fit everyone's comfort level? Would he ever require something that would have to change because of a cultural difference, comfort level or physical ability?

#3 Temple Symbolism. The symbols on the Temples are of an occult origin and have also been stolen.. Or perhaps they are where they should be considering the different gospel according to Paul. Many excuses have been made from "Satan stole it from God" to "They were on Solomon's Temple". One must also consider that Joseph joined the Freemasons along with Sidney Rigdon Tuesday, March 15, 1842. The Mormon involvement in Freemasonry reached its heights during the early 1840's in Nauvoo. The Mormon Endowment was introduced around 1 month after they joined Masonry. Before then there were no Masonic symbols/rituals anywhere in Mormonism.

Study the symbols on the temple and then study their original origins then you decide their true meanings.

#4 They preach a different Gospel then one in the bible. What is the gospel preached in the bible? Do you know your gospel? Is it simple enough for a child to understand?

...There are more but I will stop there.

Why would I be okay with someone being involved in something so twisted and full of lies?  Or someone who is living a lifestyle that is specifically spoken of as being an abomination (Homosexuality) in God's word, the Bible.  I'm not and I never will be comfortable having my Mormon Friends and family being lied to. If it's not from God and his word then where is it from? Who is the Father of all lies? I will always love Mormons/Polygamists and I understand why they don't see the truth. I was in their shoes for 36 years! I pray daily that God would remove the scales from their eyes and allow them to see. Give them the drive to look and study things out for themselves. See the simple truths of the true gospel and one day, find Jesus. The True biblical Jesus. Not Satan's Brother and their Brother. The true Jesus. God who came down in the flesh and died for your sins and mine. Who offers the free gift of Grace. Not of works. If you work for Grace it's no longer a free gift and no longer Grace.

I would rather be hated for telling the truth then loved for telling a lie. Don't expect me to comfort you with a lie.

Speaking as a Prophet or as a Man?

How do you decipher when a Mormon Prophet is speaking as a man and when he's speaking as a prophet?

Many, if not all of the LDS prophets who have passed have stated something that is now considered as "He was speaking as a man".. but those who followed them back in there day didn't hold to the same beliefs.

When President Gordon Hinckley answered Larry King on his show about caffeine.

Larry King: No to caffeine?
Gordon B. Hinckley: No to caffeine, coffee and tea.

And when Hinckley was interviewed on 60 min by Mike Wallace:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLFDP_MeYhg

My husband drank Mountain Dew but only on long drives out of state to and from work. He drank it to keep himself awake to make it home in one piece. But the thought of him drinking something that the Prophet said Mormons didn't do, troubled him deeply! Deeply enough that stopped drinking it totally and put his life in jeopardy getting behind the wheel of the car, making the drive home, a lot of the time alone or with other tired, sleeping passengers in his care, without the aid of any caffeinated beverages to help him stay awake and alert.

On the BYU Campus some students were complaining about not being able to purchase caffeinated soda on campus.

http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/news/54875621-78/caffeine-church-drinks-caffeinated.html.csp

Not long after this the LDS church came forward with an official "Revelation" on caffeinated soda. I thought they already had a stance on caffeine.. It wasn't suppose to be consumed if you were a member of the LDS church.. Why the change? A day later the "Revelations" wording changed.

http://www.heraldextra.com/news/state-and-regional/lds-church-clarifies-stance-on-caffeine/article_e4e357d0-ba5d-5a6c-8e78-dd1e791a34b2.html

This may seem trivial.. and it is, because people are going to do whatever it is they want in the safely and comfort of their own homes. No one can tell you what you can and can't eat or drink. What clothing you have to wear and what media and literature you choose to view. It's between you and God. Not you and another Man.

I'm bringing this up because of all the changes in the LDS church. One living prophet can contradict a passed prophet and never be questioned.  Back in Brigham Young's day, he stated that Adam was God. His followers followed him with all their heart and soul and knew that God was speaking through him revealing hidden or new found truths. That doctrine is found to no longer be true in today's LDS Doctrines. Why? Why should the followers of the passed believe a doctrine to be true but in our day it's believed to be false? How can someone choose to believe that they were speaking as a Man when clearly, he was your prophet of your church?

What about Polygamy?

He (Brigham Young)stated that if the Church ever turned away from living polygamy, the Devil would rejoice.

"We are told that if we would give up polygamy - which we know to be a doctrine revealed from heaven, and it is God and the world for it - but suppose this Church should give up this holy order of marriage, then would the devil, and all who are in league with him against the cause of God, rejoice that they had prevailed upon the Saints to refuse to obey one of the revelations and commandments of God to them." JoD 11:239 (June 3, 1866)

He also stated it's polygamy was ever given up you will be damned.

"Now if any of you will deny the plurality of wives, and continue to do so, I promise that you will be damned; and I will go still further and say, take this revelation, or any other revelation that the Lord has given, and deny it in your feelings, and I promise that you will be damned." JoD 3:266 (July 14, 1855)

Polygamy is no longer lived in the LDS church, unless you are male and  have divorced your wife or your wife passed away then married again having another woman sealed to you.  Women are not allowed to be sealed to more then one man. It's been changed and removed from the official doctrine.

Along with all these are also:

-As Man Is, God Once Was
-Blacks and the Priesthood
-Law of adoption
-Polygamy
-Blood Atonement
-Speaking in tongues
-Temple Endowments
-United Order
-Word of Wisdom
-Removed the Lectures on Faith from the Doctrine and Covenants
....and many more...

How do you truly know when an LDS prophet is speaking as a man or a prophet? You can start with God's word.

"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?
When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him." Deuteronomy 18:20-22

Go down the list of your prophets. Has every word, that they spoke in the name of the Lord, come to pass? If not, what excuses will you come up with to justify why? Are you going to fully believe the word of God or put your trust in Men? Men, who supposedly were speaking for God in their time, having the words they uttered be nothing more then mere words from a man in our time. Words that hold no power or authority now, because yet another Man said they were speaking "As a Man".

What a confusing existence to live trusting in the arm of flesh and not an all mighty, all powerful, omnipotent, perfect God.

Is the Biblical Jesus Christ a Saved Being?

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints scriptures, there use to be writings within in the Doctrine and Covenants called "Lectures on Faith". First published in 1835 as the Doctrine portion of the Doctrine and Covenants. They were quietly removed in the 1921 edition of their revised Scriptures after 86 years. In these writings are some disturbing, un biblical teachings. What I want to bring up is found in Article 7:9 (Below, bold and underlining mine)

"9 As all the visible creation is an effect of faith, so is salvation, also. (We mean salvation in its most extensive latitude of interpretation, whether it is tempo-
[page 66]
ral or spiritual.) In order to have this subject clearly set before the mind, let us ask what situation must a person be in, in order to be saved? or what is the difference between a saved man and one who is not saved? We answer from what we have before seen of the heavenly worlds, they must be persons who can work by faith, and who are able, by faith to be ministering spirits to them who shall be heirs of salvation. And they must have faith to enable them to act in the presence of the Lord, otherwise they cannot be saved. And what constitutes the real difference between a saved person and one not saved, is the difference in the degree of their faith: one's faith has become perfect enough to lay hold upon eternal life, and the other's has not. But to be a little more particular, let us ask, where shall we find a prototype into whose likeness we may be assimulated, in order that we may be made partakers of life and salvation? or in other words, where shall we find a saved being? for if we can find a saved being, we may ascertain, without much difficulty, what all others must be, in order to be saved - they must be like that individual or they cannot be saved: we think, that it will not be a matter of dispute, that two beings, who are unlike each other, cannot both be saved; for whatever constitutes the salvation of one, will constitute the salvation of every creature which will be saved: and if we find one saved being in all existence, we may see what all others must be, or else not be saved. We ask, then, where is the prototype? or where is the saved being? We conclude as to the answer of this question there will be no dispute among those who believe the bible, that it is Christ: all will agree in this that he is the prototype or standard of salvation, or in other words, that he is a saved being. And if we should continue our interogation, and ask how it is that he is saved, the answer would be, because he is
[page 67]
a just and holy being; and if he were any thing different from what he is he would not be saved; for his salvation depends on his being precisely what he is and nothing else; for if it were possible for him to change in the least degree, so sure he would fail of salvation and lose all his dominion, power, authority and glory, which constitutes salvation; for salvation consists in the glory, authority, majesty, power and dominion which Jehovah possesses, and in nothing else; and no being can possess it but himself or one like him: Thus says John, in his first epistle, 3:2 and 3: Behold, now we are the sons of God, and it doth not appear what we shall be; but we know, that when he shall appear we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And any man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.--Why purify himself as he is pure? because, if they do not they cannot be like him."

This puts into motion a whole domino effect of questions concerning this.
1. If Jesus is saved, who "saved" him?
2. If Jesus was in need of "salvation", that would mean he sinned, would it not?
3. Can a person who sinned, then become sin and still be our Savior?
4. Was Jesus on another planet, living a life like we are now, needing a Savior at some other point in time?
5. The whole "Progressing to Godhood" would that mean that he has a resurrected body now since he was already on another "Earth"?
6. If he was on another planet at another time, how could he put the Resurrected body down, he once had, and be born yet again into another body here on this earth? (Reincarnation)

Is your head spinning yet? Where does that leave room for the simplicity of the Gospel. The gospel is simple.

Matthew 18:1-4
1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus is NOT a "Saved" being according to the Bible. The Biblical Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Man.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

John 20:28 Thomas said to him [Jesus], “My Lord and my God!”

Let's look at Philippians
Philippians 2:5-8

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross

Verse 6 says Jesus existed in the “form of God.”The word form (Greek “morphe”) means “nature.” Nature is the essential attributes or characteristics of a living being or thing. Paul is stating here that Jesus is fully God; He has the nature of God. Then in verse 7 he writes that Jesus "made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:"   or  emptied himself, taking the form of a bond-servant and being made in the likeness of men. Again we see the same Greek word “morphe” for form used to say Jesus took on the nature of a human. Jesus had 2 natures, fully God and fully man but was one person.

Jesus Himself stated he is God. John 8:58 "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." The utterance is a remarkable one. It does not merely assert that he was before Abraham, but before Abraham was, I AM. It identifies with the I AM of the Old Testament. Divinity has no past tense, no future tense, but always the present.

Cross reference with Exodus 3:14 "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you."

The Late Prophet of the LDS Church, Gordon Hinckley, started, himself, that he doesn't worship the "Traditional" Jesus Christ, but a different one.

I dare say the Mormon Jesus and the Biblical Jesus Christ are not the Same Jesus. You have been warned in the Bible for False Christs.  Are you following a false Jesus who can't save?
Matthew 24:24.
"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

The Gospel is simple.  It's man, and their man made religions that make it complicated.

Who is the head of the "Church"?

You have a choice. Who will you put your full trust in?

Who is the head of the Church?

The Doctrine and Covenants says Joseph Smith is head of the church.

(Doctrine and Covenants 28:2-6)
2 But, behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, no one shall be appointed to receive commandments and revelations in this church excepting my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., for he receiveth them even as Moses.
3 And thou shalt be obedient unto the things which I shall give unto him, even as Aaron, to declare faithfully the commandments and the revelations, with power and authority unto the church.
4 And if thou art led at any time by the Comforter to speak or teach, or at all times by the way of commandment unto the church, thou mayest do it.
 5 But thou shalt not write by way of commandment, but by wisdom;
 6 And thou shalt not command him who is at thy head, and at the head of the church;

The Bible says that Jesus is the head of the church.

Col 1:18
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Is Jesus Christ the Head of the Church as the Bible states, or is Joseph Smith as the D&C states? They can't both be right. Who will you put your trust in? Jesus or Joseph?

Jesus Christ/Joseph Smith

LDS Scriptural "Revisions"

Is it important for you to only be exposed to happy positive things in your media and reading material? Do you approve of your Church/Corporation (ie.. LDS Church, KSL, KBYU, Deseret News and all the things the church owns) censoring your Media? Do you believe everything you're told to think by your church? Then I guess you're happy wearing your rose colored glasses and have been wearing them to long to feel comfortable taking them off to see what real truth is. If you want to see an example go to KSL.com and search out articles about the New Scriptural Changes and read the comments. Then go to Salt Lake Tribune. Search out articles about the New Scriptural Changes and read those comments. Many of my friends and family have tried posting, as well as myself, on KSL.com only to have our comments censored and not ever added to the replies.

Some say the Bible has been corrupted and many plain and precious things have been removed. What about your Books? Has your Book of Mormon been Changed? Have "many plain and precious things" been removed or added? Is the information you're being given, by those you are putting your complete trust in, "transparent" on the matter?

I've spent the last few days with my Copyright 1979 LDS Bible and my husbands 1981 Copyright Triple combination, comparing things with the online material provided by the LDS.org site and the Online LDS scriptures. Some say they have only changed some spelling and punctuation... NOT so!! You have your Scriptures in your home. If you believe you can take some of the Bible for face value then I urge you to read 1 Thessalonians 5:21. It's one sentence, then apply it.  Are you trusting your leaders without applying this scripture?

(I'm not going to supply links. The information is there for you to search out for yourself. I will not do your homework for you. I will ask, how important is your Church History to you?)

We are all familiar with the political banter with Obama.. "Hows that 'change' working for you?" Well I ask you.. How are the changes working for you?  It wasn't okay for the "monks" and/or "Catholic priests".. (Who was it that made the supposed changes?) to make changes to the Bible, removing and adding to it, but it is okay for your church to make changes to the "most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.”~Joseph Smith. (History of the Church, 4:461) What's the difference? Double standard?

From Polygamy to Mormonism to the Arms of Jesus.

I'll take my story from my Blog. The condensed version and copy it here. I'll place the links to the entire Blog at the bottom.

My name is Andrea. I am the second oldest child of 5 and was born into Polygamy into the AUB (Apostolic United Brethren) group. My birth mother was my father's 9th wife. Before my family fell apart, my Father had 12 wives total. Not long after my father left and our polygamist family fell apart, my Mother then remarried a polygamist man when I was 3 years old. She was his 3rd wife.

After moving into his house with 2 of his other wives and children, abuse started. We were abused in every way. Some more in one area and others in other areas. My mother had been trying to find a way out of the situation for years but wasn't sure how she would be able to support her, then, 5 children. She wasn't aware of all the abuses her children were enduring till she was able to leave 13 years later. It took a few months knowing we were finally safe before we could start to voice what happened to us. Violent abuse by my Step fathers own hands as well as his own sons to my brothers. Sexual abuse to the girls by his sons. Spiritual abuse. emotional abuse and of course, verbal by the other mothers and him. My own Mother suffered verbal and physical abuse by him. One vivid memory. I heard this big crash and then my mother screamed! I jumped up and ran to her bedroom and tried to open the door but it was blocked. Mom was laying on the floor screaming in pain and Step Father was standing over here. I started screaming to let me in! Mom was unable to move and I saw she was hurt and Step Father did it!! I started to step backward with my fists up and yelling at him to get away from my mother! BASTARD! GET AWAY FROM HER! My two youngest siblings came running and stood behind me. I just remember shaking and screaming at him to leave her alone! He started walking towards me saying it was a mistake and I just screamed at him to not come near me! He took off and we didn't see him for a few weeks.
The sexual abuse I endured, from the age of 3 till 10, left it's own marks. When I finally got up the courage to say something to someone about it, I was told it would be taken care of and not to tell anyone. My Step father would handle things. He never did. I spent the next few years believing my own mother knew what happened to me yet didn't love me enough to say anything. I was lead to believe his mother knew what happened to me but never bothered to talk to me about it. I was lead to believe everyone in the family knew, but I wasn't worth the effort to talk to about it. It made me feel like I wasn't worth much. I ended up getting into a relationship with a young man at the age of 12, who took advantage of me in ways I should never have allowed. Having already endured the same treatments at a young age, I'm not sure I knew how to say no.

The rest of my life I dealt with anger, hatred, fear, anxiety, panic attacks, depression and suicidal thoughts on a daily basis. Went to therapy for some time, years later, to try and resolve some of it but it didn't help.

I met my husband at the tender age of 14. We got to know one another for around 4 years and he then asked me to marry him on my 18th birthday. Our long courtship was really good for me. Over that time I was able to tell him of my past and give him the option to continue the relationship. I needed to know where I stood if he knew everything.

We never entered into the practice of Polygamy. I left the AUB with my husband and 2 children at the age of 22 and joined the mainstream LDS Church. After studying into the AUB's roots and realizing Polygamy wasn't supposed to be lived, I ended up searching for a heart felt answer and I gained a strong emotional testimony that had a burning of the bosom and a name planted into my mind when I prayed about, without an agenda, who held the "Keys of the Priesthood." We were taught to pray and wait for a "feeling" about the prayer. We are told that if it "feels" good, it's right, and if it "feels" bad or has no feeling at all, it's wrong or you're not ready for the answer yet. I had no idea who the person was who's name was planted into my mind so I called my Sister in Law and asked if she knew who "Hinckley" was? She told me that the name, Gordon Hinckley, was the President of the LDS church. All because of that "feeling" I joined the Mainstream LDS church and put total commitment and time toward it for 14 more years. I now know that is NOT how God works. The Bible warns of things like this. We are to gain knowledge and test that knowledge with Gods word, the Bible.

I still had questions about some things after joining the LDS church. I asking these questions to a Bishop, multiple times, who sent me to our Stake President, because he couldn't answer them. When my Stake President couldn't answer them (to my satisfaction) I asked more, he then threatened me saying "If you purse this course, you will be filled with the spirit of the Devil and fall away from the Restoration." Was told to "Leave it alone", and "Don't go there." It put enough fear in me, thinking that we wouldn't be able to be a "Forever family" if I left the LDS church, that I stuck everything on the "shelf" and didn't bring it up anymore. For 10 more years they sat, collecting dust, on my "shelf".

I loved being a Mormon. Loved the structures. Loved the programs and loved knowing I was part of something most everyone in my community was part of. I didn't have that growing up as a Polygamist child. I loved the feeling of acceptance. The callings we were asked to do to help us grow...and yet...I still had unanswered questions.

Just to name a few:

Why did Joseph Smith marry a 14-year-old girl as well as many other young under age girls?

Why did Joseph Smith marry women who's husbands Joseph, himself, sent on missions, while they were on missions?

Why were many of Joseph Smiths' prophesies never fulfilled?

Why do Egyptologists and Mormons view the translations of the Book of Abraham Papyri differently?

Why, after Joseph passed the "Word of Wisdom", did he still drink and smoke?

Why were things removed and changed from the original Mormon Temple ceremony?

Why did Brigham young preach that Adam is the god of this world and the only god with whom we have anything to do?

What parts exactly in the bible have been changed? We have the Dead Sea Scrolls to compare them to now so why isn't someone trying to rewrite the bible so it's no longer "corrupt"?

After 14 years in the LDS church, Jeremiah 17:9 entered our lives and caused us to reexamine our beliefs "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" and 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Helped us to Test everything according to the bible. "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." Before that though, I had to take the 8th Article of Faith glasses off. "We Believe the bible to be true as far as it is translated correctly." I needed to find out if the bible had been corrupt and how.

After studying up on the origins of the Bible and realizing it is, in fact, true and whole, as God promised he would keep it, I was finally able to test everything. Through those tests, we realized Mormonism was not Biblical and we could not be part of something that wasn't truth. I picked up each and every item that had fallen off with the shelf and examined each one individually, with the Bible, and then each and every one of my questions above got an answer.

The year 2012 we had our dream home up for sale because we could no longer afford to keep it. It finally sold in June. One week before we moved, we were asked to talk in Sacrament meeting. That week we read over the materials they gave us for the topics we were asked to give and the next Sunday we gave our talks. That Sunday morning we were fully Mormon. We held to our Mormon Testimonies that all had a strong emotional burning of the bosom. We faithfully paid our tithing even when we couldn't afford it. (God blessed us tremendously in the AUB and LDS church because we gave with a glad heart. He always saw to it that we were always able to meet the bills even when the numbers didn't add up.) We held current temple recommends, fulfilled our callings to the best of our abilities, had Family Home Evening, went to church and other meetings and were as Mormon as a Mormon can be.

That Sunday night, August 19th 2012, Jeremiah 17:9 caused us both to stop and examine the scripture. What exactly was it saying? Can it be taken at face value? Was it "Translated Correctly"? We were packing to move the very next Wednesday. So much was going on.. Every time I had a moment to sit down I was on the computer researching things about the bible.. every hour things started falling into place and before I new it, my "Shelf" and everything I have ever put on it came tumbling down off the wall. The beautiful Mormon building I had spent so many years building, crumbled to the ground into a heap of rubble, like a house of cards.

We moved into our Rental home before telling our children. We had sweet Mormon neighbors help unload the truck and interact with our children. Telling them when Young Women's was, when Scouts was and all the things that were going to be going on. It ripped my heart out knowing what I knew and the deception of it all. Brian and I talked about letting the kids find their own way but we couldn't allow them to get sucked back into the Local ward without showing them what we found. God Had his own plan. There is a reason he sold our home when he did, because we would have never considered the church to be false had we still been living in that neighborhood. We were to ingrained into it's society. We KNEW we had to tell our children before they started attending the local Ward.

2 days later, we got one room unpacked and comfortable enough to enjoy a video, then sat the 3 oldest down to watch "Jesus Christ Verses Joseph Smith". When the video started, our oldest was about to bolt, not wanting to watch any of it. Another older child started sobbing thinking of all of her friends in the neighborhood and the third oldest was like a deer in the headlights, banging his head into a pillow now and then. We then explained what had happened. We told them that we would support them in whatever they chose to do but we would also show them the truth we found if they asked. They all started looking into things themselves, asking us questions in the process. Searching the answers out as a family. To our surprise, our 3 oldest saw the discrepancies and knew Mormonism wasn't right.

The very next Sunday, August 26th, 2012, we all attended Calvary Mountain View Chapel in American Fork, Utah with my Sister in Law and her husband and Brian's Sister. Going from Hymns in the LDS church and the reverent, quiet, subdued almost depressed form of their "worship" of Singing to Jesus... and ONLY Jesus with all your heart was quite a culture shock. Listening and reading the words with each song lifted my heart with so much joy. Another thing I noticed, The pastors message was ONLY about the Bible. Not someone else opinion on the passage from the Bible or some other non-Biblical topic and opinion of theirs. It was so refreshing.

That evening we attended "Harvest America". A nation wide live broadcast at the Calvary Chapel. After the broadcast, they had an "Alter Call" where those who have not accepted the Biblical Jesus Christ as their Savior and Redeemer come up, in front of everyone in attendance and proclaim, publicly, that they are sinners, they want to change, they acknowledge what the Savior did for them and they want the Biblical Jesus in their lives. After listening to the Message from the Pastor, I couldn't sit still. I got up and went to the front to proclaim it all! I NEEDED Jesus and it's all I wanted!

For years, I would plead with Jesus of my childhood, my brother, and Satan's brother, to remove the anger, hate, fear, anxiety, daily panic attacks, depression and suicidal thoughts only to have it flung right back at me... sometimes doubled in intensity and mixed with some unknown guilt. Surely I hadn't done enough. I hadn't attended the Temple enough, I should have gone to church and endured through the panic attacks and renewed my covenants by partaking of the Sacrament. I should have filled out that sheet about taking a family in need a meal, even though I had my family of 9 to take care of and my husband out of town. I could make more and be blessed by blessing them. There was always this looming "You've not done enough yet. Keep working and as soon as you've done enough, I'll then do my part." When was it ever going to be enough? Brian would say "Give it to Jesus. He's the Grand Physician. He will heal you." I would get so mad at him and say "I'M TRYING! Does it look like I'm not trying?" Little did I know, the Mormon Jesus is a false, Non-Biblical Jesus Christ. He couldn't do anything for me.

That evening that I accepted the Biblical Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at Calvary mountain View Chapel, I didn't notice a change right away. I wasn't looking. I was just thankful to know I loved Jesus more then I ever had! One entire week went buy and I knew something was different, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I realized I hadn't reached for the essential oils or herbal supplements I would use to ward off or diminish the panic attacks and anxiety. The Fear, Hate, Anger, Anxiety, panic attacks and suicidal thoughts were GONE! All praise and Glory be to Jesus!! I am FREE! The chains that held me bound, You removed! Thank you Lord!! It's now been 6 months, as of today, that Jesus Christ freed me from the burdens that held me bound for so long.. and they have not returned! Praise God!

All 3 of our oldest children have now accepted the Biblical Jesus Christ and become "New Creatures in Christ". They have all changed so much. The chains that each one was bound to, Jesus removed. Our oldest even went one step further then any of us and was Baptized to publicly proclaim and symbolize his love for Jesus.

My heart is full of gratitude for all that Jesus Christ has done for me and my family. I only wish to share with my Friends and Family what he's done for me. You can also have this same gift. I want to share it with you. Will you let me tell you how you to can be Free in Christ, Become a "New Creation" and experience the Grace he has to offer you? It's not about anything you do. It's fully and completely about Jesus and what HE has done for YOU! Are you ready to have the scales removed from your eyes to see clearly? Your ears unplugged to be able to hear and comprehend fully the things of God? What have you got to loose?

 Mathew 11:28
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

John 6:28-29 "28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."..... Spoken by Jesus to his disciples when they asked about the "Works" God requires. Not baptism, Not temple work, Not work for the dead, Not tithing, Not church attendance, Not church callings, Not prayer, Not fasting, Not fast offerings, Not your eagle scout, Not your young women's medallion, Not the sacrament. etc... Simply Believe and confess Him before Men.

Mathew 10:32-39
"32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it."
