Book of Mormon and Christian Theology.

There are many things taught in the Book of Mormon that the current Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints don't teach and don't follow today. I pray daily that the Lord will be instrumental in helping those who are seeking the truth. Help the scales fall away from their eyes so they will be open and they will see the deception and come unto Christ. Here are a few examples of the contradictions between the Leaders and the Book of Mormon.

Mormonism today teaches that God was once a man.
Prior to his death, Mormon Founder Joseph Smith Said, "We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute the Idea and take away the veil so that you may see." (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, page 345)

However, in the Book of Mormon, it preaches Christian Doctrine that God is God and has always been God.
Moroni 7:22 "God knoweth all things, from everlasting to everlasting."
Moroni 8:18 "God is unchangeable from Eternity to Eternity."
Mormon 9:9 "God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and in him there is no variableness."
3rd Nephi 24:6 "I am the Lord, I change not."
These are Biblical Teachings. These ideas came straight from the Bible.

Jesus’s miraculous conception
Mormon Leaders and their manuals have taught directly and repeatedly that Jesus was not conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit overshadowing Mary, but it was a relationship with God the Father who was in a body of flesh and bone. That eliminates the Biblical Idea of a virgin birth. Had she been in a relationship with God then she would no longer be a virgin.

LDS Apostle Bruise R McConkee said, "Jesus was begotten by his Father as literally as he was conceived by his mother." (Doctrinal New Testament Commentary 1:144)

But the Book of Mormon Teaches the Biblical Position of being overshadowed.
Alma 7:10 "Mary shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost." A traditional Biblical Teaching.

Jesus/God Dwells in Men’s Hearts
In one of Joseph Smiths later revelations, he says in Doctrine and Covenants 130:3 "the idea that the father and son dwell in a man’s heart is "An old sectarian notion." Mormons do not believe that Jesus dwells in your heart even though the bible teaches that he does.

The Book of Mormon teaches God does dwell in the Hearts of Men.
Alma 34:36 "The Lord hath said He dwelleth not in unholy temples, but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell."

So another biblical tenant preached in the Book of Mormon, not believed by Mormons today and actually refuted by LDS leaders and teachers in their manuals and writings.

One God
Mormonism teaches that there are many Gods with a Capital "G". LDS Apostle Boyd K Packard said in a recent past, "Anyone who believes and teaches God the Father, and accepts the divinity of Christ and of the Holy Ghost, teaches a plurality of Gods." (Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled page 291) That's the LDS stance. If you believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost and their deity, you believe in the Plurality of Gods. You’re a Polytheist. That's where you believe in more than one God.

In the Book of Mormon it refutes Packard’s statement.
Alma 11:28:29 "Is there more than one God? And he answered, no."
3rd Nephi 11:27,36 "the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one; and I am in the father, and the Father in me."
Mormon 7:7 "the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God." Not a Plurality. ONE God.
Alma 11:44 "Christ the Son. God the Father and the Holy Spirit, which is one Eternal God."
Not a Plurality of Gods.. Not part of the God Head... Not one of many Gods.. ONE GOD!

Again, the Book of Mormon lays it out for people and hooks them with Biblical Principles but after they join they start teaching the changes that contradict their own Book of Mormon.

Pray to Jesus
Mormonism today would never, ever, pray to Jesus.

“…some misguided members of the Church may ‘begin to pray directly to Christ because of some special friendship they feel has been developed’ with him. This is wrong, said Elder McConkie. We should pray directly to the Father...” —The Ensign, June 1998, p. 59

The Nephites in the Book of Mormon and Praying to Jesus.
3 Nephi 19:15, 17-18 “...Jesus came… he commanded his disciples that they should pray. And behold, they began to pray; and they did pray unto Jesus, calling him their Lord and their God.”
This is straight from the pulpits if Christian Churches. This is what Joseph Smith saw as a young man. This is what he included in his Book of Mormon.

Look at the Christian sounding Idea  in the Book of Mormon.
Jacob 2:21 "...And all flesh is of the dust; and for the selfsame end hath he created them, that they should keep his commandments and glorify him forever." This is a line straight from the Christian community which Glorifies God forever.

Latter-day saints reject the idea of Hell. Even to the point that Elder William R. Walker answered Barbara Walters question on 20/20 July 6th 2012.
19:28 - 19:55
Barbara: "If you do not accept Jesus Christ as the son of God, if you are a Jew for example or a Muslim, what then?"
William: "I don't think it's as difficult as it seems. When we get on the other side, after we've died, and God the Father says, this is my son Jesus Christ, we believe every knee will bow, every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ. So all mankind can make it into Heaven, because of that."
Barbara goes on to ask if she will then be going to Heaven and William says she absolutely will.

It's clear, today; Mormons reject the idea of Hell if everyone is going to heaven.
"We do not believe that hell is a place where the wicked are being burned forever." (Joseph Fielding Smith, Answers to Gospel Questions, 2:208)
"In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there is no Hell." (John a Widtsoe, Joseph Smith, Seeker after Truth, page 178)

The Book of Mormon clearly teaches the Christian Doctrine about Hell that says:
3rd Nephi 27:11 "If the church is built upon the works of men.....they are hewn down and cast into the fire, from whence there is no return." Mormons say that's not true, there is no hell and there is no fire.

The Book of Mormon States differently.
2nd Nephi 33:6 "Jesus, for He hath redeemed my soul from Hell."
2nd Nephi 1:19 "God....delivered his Saints from Hell."
Alma 41:4 "to endless misery to inherit the kingdom of the devil...."
1st Nephi 14:3 "into hell that hath no end."
2nd Nephi 9:19 "O the greatness of the mercy of God, the Holy one of Israel! For He hath delivered his Saints from that awful monster the devil..... and that lake of fire and brimstone and endless torment."

Fire and Brimstone. Endless torment. Right out of the Book of Mormon. Joseph took that right out of Christian tenant but later, when he got a following, he started preaching about no hell and no literal God.

Alma 5:53, 56 "And now my Beloved Brethren....can ye be puffed up in the pride of your hearts, setting your hearts upon the vain things of the world.... these are they who shall be hewn down and cast into the fire!"
Alma 19:29 "She stood upon her feet, and cried with a loud voice: O blessed Jesus, who has saved me from and awful hell! O blessed God, have mercy on this people!"

If you were to read some of these passages and didn't know your Bible, you would think they came from the bible and not another source. It's a total counterfeit.

Saved After Death
Mormonism today, teaches that after people die they will have a chance to hear and accept or reject the gospel after this life. In the Preach my Gospel manual of the Mormon Church, page 66. "In the spirit world the gospel is preached to those who did not obey the gospel or have the opportunity to hear it while on earth."

The Book of Mormon speaking of all who die said
2nd Nephi 9:16 "they who are righteous shall be righteous still, they who are filthy be filthy still."
Alma 12:27 "appointed to men that they must die; and after death must come to judgment."

Book of Mormon does teach Biblical principles but doesn’t give the Bible credit.

The Fall
Mormonism today teaches that Adams disobedience was a good thing. That it's a praise worthy thing. It was good that he was disobedient to Gods commandment.
LDS President Joseph Fielding Smith was quoted in the Ensign Magazine in 2006 said, "So don't let us brethren and sisters, complain about Adam and wish he hadn’t done something that he did. I want to thank him." (Ensign January 2006 page 53)

The Book of Mormon teaches the Biblical truth making it clear that God does not give dual commandments. He doesn’t give a commandment so that people don’t know how to obey it or can’t obey it.
The Book of Mormon says 1st Nephi 3:7 "The Lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." Plain and simple but the Mormon teaching on the fall changes that.

Men becoming Gods
Mormonism today, because of Joseph Smiths later idea, teach the exaltation of man. Men becoming Gods themselves.
Joseph Fielding Smith Jr., Doctrines of Salvation, Vol.2, p.39: SONS OF GOD BECOME GODS. If the faithful, who keep the commandments of the Father, are his sons, then they are heirs of the kingdom and shall receive of the fulness of the Father's glory, even until they become like the Father. And how can they be perfect as their Father in heaven is perfect if they are not like him? . . . And if they receive his fulness and his glory, and if "all things are theirs, whether life or death, or things present, or things to come, all are theirs," how can they receive these blessings and not become gods? They cannot."

The Book of Mormon is Very clear in the fact when it states that there is only One God as stated above in Alma 11:27-39, 44; 2 Nephi 31:21; Mormon 7:7; 3 Nephi 11:27. Look also at the Testimony of the three witnesses in the beginning introduction of the Book of Mormon.
"And the honor be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, which is one God. Amen." The three witnesses knew there was ONE GOD. The Book of Mormon stated in many places there is ONE GOD, then why are Mormons now teaching the exaltation of Man and becoming Gods themselves?
The first commandment. Thou shall have no other gods before me. When your striving to become a God yourself.. is there yet another god in your life? Perhaps one you hope to one day become yourself?

Worshiping Jesus
Mormonism teaches today that we aren't to worship the Son, Jesus Christ.
Bruce R. McConkie's devotional address given at Brigham Young University on 2 March 1982 states: "We worship the Father and him only and no one else. We do not worship the Son, and we do not worship the Holy Ghost."

The Book of Mormon presents the Christian View
3rd Nephi 11:17 "They did fall down at the feet of Jesus and worship Him."
2nd Nephi 25:29 "...wherefore ye must bow down before Him and worship Him with your whole soul."
Mormons don't teach this. They do not worship Jesus today.

Can't forget Polygamy. It was justified to the point that Brigham Young said, "The ONLY men who become Gods, even the Sons of God, are those who enter into polygamy." (JOD 11:269)

The Book of Mormon renounces Polygamy.

Jacob 2:24 "Behold, David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable, saith the Lord."
Jacob 1:15 "And now it came to pass that the people of Nephi, under the reign of the second king, began to grow hard in their hearts, and indulge themselves somewhat in wicked practices, such as like unto David of old desiring many wives and concubines, and also Solomon, his son."
Jacob 3:5 "....that they should have save it were one wife, and concubines they should have none, and there should not be whoredoms committed among them."

The LDS church today does NOT teach the Book of Mormon theology. It teaches against it. The Book of Mormon reflects 19th century Christian theology, which given the upbringing and religious background of Joseph Smith, would explain why the Book of Mormon reads the way it does.

If you're taking the time to read and are offended I would urge you to look at the reason why you're offended. I'm not looking to offend anyone but to show you truth. Joseph Smith said: “I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.” Why then are many of the teachings in the book being ignored by the Leaders of the church, past and present? Is it, or is it not the "most correct of any book on the earth" and is it not the "keystone" of your religion? Why then are teachings in it being contradicted by Leaders?

Defending Against Deception

Written by Mac Hammond
Say these words aloud. If Satan can't deceive me, he can't defeat me.

You've just uttered one of the most profoundly simple yet powerful truths in all of God's universe. But it is also one that few Christians seem to understand.

The fact is, the only weapon Satan has at his disposal since Jesus stripped him of all authority—is deception. Satan can't make you sick, plunder your finances, destroy your marriage, steal your kids or ruin your life without first deceiving you.

How do we know that? For one thing, God said in Deuteronomy 30:19,
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life….
Here, God is plainly telling all of us that the choice between life and death, and blessing and cursing belongs to us. Think about it. If our God who loves us will not override our right to choose and impose blessings on us even though it would be for our own good, then He certainly won't allow Satan to impose his will on us either.

The devil can't put death and cursing on you unless you permit it by choosing death and cursing by your own free will.

Of course, who in their right mind would ever choose death and destruction? Only a person who is deceived.

Father of Lies
Think about it for a moment. Satan is not called the Father of Destruction. He's called the Father of Lies. If Satan had the power to destroy you, he would have already done it.

But he can't.

As it says in Proverbs 18:21, The power of life and death are in the tongue. Specifically, yours! Hebrews 2:14 says:  14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

So Mac, you may wonder, what does it mean to be deceived?

Very simply, to deceive someone is to convince him of the truth or validity of something that is untrue or invalid. No one intentionally chooses death and cursing in his life. So, the only way Satan can defeat you is to convince you that something that is untrue and invalid is true and valid.

In other words, Satan cannot put evil on you unless you choose it and you won't choose it unless he can convince you that it's not evil. Or even that it's good!

God says your experience of life will be determined on the basis of the choices that you make. Knowing this, Satan will labor to deceive you so you'll make the wrong choices. And any choice that is contrary to God's Word is a wrong choice.

Make no mistake about it. Satan is a liar and he is very good at it. But the Bible says we are not to be ignorant of his devices. The Word shows us how Satan comes to deceive so we can foresee evil and hide.

Common Deceptions
The one good thing you can say about Satan is that he doesn't have any new tricks up his sleeve. Everything that we need to learn concerning how to stand against his deceit is already written down for us in the Word of God. In fact, the most common ways people are deceived are listed for us in Ephesians 6:11-18.

Let's look at verse 11. It says: Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles [trickery or deceit] of the devil.

Clearly, the armor of God is not given to you for standing against circumstances. Rather, it is to enable you to stand against the root of all of Satan's attacks deception. Each piece of armor indicates an area of your life in which Satan is going to make an effort to deceive you. First, notice that you are to put this armor on. God won't put it on for you. You have to put it on and, I might add, keep it on for it to work for you.

Here are some of the most common and deadly deceptions that open the door to the devil in your life.

Deception: The Devil is Not Real
A quick reading of Ephesians 6:12 reveals Satan's first deception:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood….

You see, your problem is not your spouse, your boss, your family, or anybody or any natural thing. Your battle is not fought in this natural world. Satan's first attempt at deception will be to try to convince you that he's not a real personal entity.

Satan doesn't want you to realize that the evil in your life is sponsored by him. But you must understand that Satan is a very real enemy who is very interested in your destruction and you need to respect (but not fear) his ability to deceive you and lead you down the road to cursing and death.

Deception: You Can't Beat Satan
Once you have acknowledged that Satan really exists and that he is your adversary and it is he you are wrestling with, he will try to push his deception into the other ditch and try to make you believe that you can't beat him. He will try to convince you that he does have great power to bring death and destruction into your life.

First Peter 5:8 says, Be sober [sound minded], be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

Satan will roar at you through sickness and disease. He will roar at you with financial difficulty. He will roar at you through marriage and family trouble.

Why does Satan come to you as a roaring lion? The same reason a natural lion roars at its prey. He wants to paralyze you with fear.

You see, fear will either produce paralysis or panic. One stops you cold in your tracks and keeps you from resisting him. The other will cause you to quickly make foolish choices. Either way, if you respond or act on that fear, the devil may devour you.

Deception: The Bible is Not Literally True
As we move down to verse 14 of Ephesians 6, we encounter the first piece of armor that we are commanded to wear:

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth.

Now this might seem painfully obvious, but it's vital to remember that your number one safeguard against deception is simply knowing the truth!

That's why, in John 8:31-32, Jesus said, …If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

When you know the truth, you are free from deception, you are free from fear, and you are free from destruction. That's why we need to be reading and studying our Bibles diligently. When you know what the Word says, you can immediately recognize Satan's lies.

And of course this is where Satan will next try to deceive you. He'll suggest that the Bible isn't literally true. Sure, it might contain some good principles to live by, but it's not the actual Word of God.

Yet 2 Timothy 3:16-17 plainly says,
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Deception: You Are Not Worthy
The next piece of armor that God has provided for us is also found in verse 14. There Paul writes, …having on the breastplate of righteousness.

Once you have a firm hold on the truth of God's Word, Satan will try to convince you that you are not worthy to receive what the Bible says is yours. He'll remind you of everything you've ever done wrong and every bad word you've ever spoken as he tries to deceive you into accepting some form of curse or destruction that he wants to put on you.

Satan wants you to think that you deserve sickness or poverty because of what you've done in the past. He knows that if he can make you feel condemned and guilty, you'll not resist his advances into your life. But praise the Lord, your past doesn't even exist in the eyes of God.

God sees you only through the shed blood of Jesus and He has given you His righteousness, not because of what you've done but because of what Jesus did for you. When Satan tries to lie to you about your righteousness or right standing with God, just remind him of the power of the blood and continue to hold onto the righteousness Jesus died to give you.

Deception: You're Too Busy To Work For God
Moving down to verse 15 we read: And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

God's plan for you in this life involves using all the resources He has entrusted to you in promoting the gospel of peace. You put on this piece of armor when you make it your determined purpose to let God use you to bring His power into someone's life through the Gospel.

Satan will attack you in this area of your life by trying to give you other priorities other than spreading God's Word. Instead of using your finances to support someone's ministry, instead of using your time to share your faith out on the streets, or simply letting your neighbors know who you live for, Satan will labor to focus your attention on advancing your own plan for your life.

Deception: It Doesn't Matter What You Believe
This passage of scripture places special emphasis on your next piece of armor when it says: Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Eph. 6:16).

Your enemy is well aware of this biblical truth, As he thinketh in his heart, so is he (Prov. 23:7). Satan knows that what you believe directly affects the decisions you make. So, if he can get you to believe something other than God's Word, he can cause you to inadvertently choose death and cursing instead of life and blessing.

Satan also knows without faith it is impossible to please God and a double minded man will receive nothing from the Lord.

The shield of faith is specially designed by God to protect you from circumstances in the world that resist you when you are believing His Word. Keep that shield held high and stand behind your faith and nothing in this world will be able to affect what you believe and thus stop you from receiving God's promises. If you don't quit believing, you win.

Deception: It Doesn't Matter What You Think
Verse 17 of this passage makes reference to the helmet of salvation. As you know, a helmet covers the mind. From this verse we learn that your mind is going to be involved in Satan's efforts to deceive you. That's why it is vital you protect your mind from every vain imagination that exalts itself against God's Word (2 Cor. 10:5).

Why are your thoughts so important? Because your imagination will eventually produce corresponding behavior. If you want your life to be the way God says it should be, then you need to think like God thinks and imagine your life the way God sees it.

Satan, of course, wants you to be casual about your thought life. He hopes you'll not pay much attention to what thoughts you entertain in your mind. He'll tell you your imagination doesn't really matter because nobody can tell what you're thinking anyway.

Don't let Satan deceive you concerning the importance of your thoughts.

Deception: It Doesn't Matter What You Speak
The final piece of armor mentioned in Ephesians 6, is actually an offensive weapon: …The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Just as the devil hopes you'll be casual about your thoughts, he will also try to convince you to be casual about your words. Actually, the two are linked because wrong thoughts will invariably lead to wrong words.

According to Hebrews 11, the words you speak today frame the world you will step into tomorrow because your words are the containers of your faith.

Mark 11:23 says you will have whatsoever you say. Satan knows this principle will work for you or against you depending on what kind of words are coming out of your mouth.

Listen to your words and guard your mouth. You can't afford to allow your own tongue to speak cursing and death into your life.

There they are. The most common forms of deception used by the enemy of your soul. Any of these lies sound familiar? If Satan can't deceive you in these areas, then you've closed these doorways to cursing and death.

Plant this truth firmly in your heart. Staying free from deception is your key to victorious living. If the devil can't deceive you, he can't defeat you.

Why pray about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith

I recently heard a great podcast by a wonderful man who brought up something that really brought some things to light. Why, if we know the Word of God, do we need to pray to receive an answer to something that contradicts the Bible (The word of God)?

His name is Mark Spence. He's had many conversations in his travels with many people of different faiths, as well as LDS Missionary Elders. When he gets into a discussion with Mormons, he tries to challenge them, their statement to him, that he needs to simply pray whether or not Joseph Smith is a Prophet and the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

He says "Should I really ever pray about Joseph Smith being a prophet? It doesn't seem like this is something I really should pray about. I just need to see if the things he said line up with scripture. Deuteronomy 18 says that if a false prophesy comes about, well, it's not a prophesy from God and he's not a prophet from God. I don't need to pray about whether the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I simply need to see if it lines up with  the text that has already been given to us. Gods inspired, infallible word."

Mark then makes the statement more practical for them. "Should we ever pray whether or not we should steal a ball point pen?
They then say, "No, you should pray about that."
Mark then adds, " Why not? Think about all the good I'm going to do with this pen. In fact, I'm going to designate this pen to only writing encouraging letters to Elders in the mission field. Or perhaps, I will use this pen to write checks to the local Mormon Ward. Those are the only two things I'm going to be doing with this ball point pen. So, should I pray whether or not I should steal this ball point pen?"
They say, "No, don't pray whether or not you should steal a ball point pen. That's ridiculous."
Mark says, "Why not?"
They say, "Because God has already told us that you shall not steal."
Mark says, "Exactly. Where has God told us we shouldn't steal?"
They Answer. "Exodus 20. Ye shall not steal."
Mark continues, "But, what if I steal this pen from a guy who owns a ball point pen factory? He's not going to miss it. Especially in light of the fact I'm going to tell him what I'm going to do with this pen. He would probably give it to me anyway. What do you think? Should I pray whether or not I should steal this ball point pen?"
The answer then is usually, "No. Don't pray."
"Because God has already told us not to steal."
Exactly! So why should I pray whether or not the Book of Mormon is the word of God or Joseph Smith is a Prophet? How is God going to answer me?
To which they say James 1:5. God's going to give us wisdom.
How's God going to give us this "Wisdom"? Ultimately, it gets down to an answer of 'You'll just know' also known as a 'Burning of the bosom'. They don't use that phraseology anymore as it's a dangerous territory. We don't need those sort of things. Gods word transcends time and we can test it. It's trust worthy. We just need to see whether or not it lines up with scripture. If it does, your good. If it doesn't, you need to throw it out.

What if I told you, Jesus came to abolish religion?
What if I told you getting you to vote republican, really wasn’t his mission?
Because republican doesn’t automatically mean Christian,
And just because you call some people blind, doesn’t automatically give you vision.
If religion is so great, why has it started so many wars?
Why does it build huge churches, but fails to feed the poor?
Tells single moms God doesn’t love them if they’ve ever been divorced
Yet God in the Old Testament actually calls the religious people whores
Religion preaches grace, but another thing they practice,
Tend to ridicule Gods people, they did it to John the Baptist,
Cant fix their problems, so they try to mask it,
Not realizing that’s just like sprayin perfume on a casket
Because the problem with religion is that it never gets to the core,
It’s just behavior modification, like a long list of chores.
Let’s dress up the outside, make things look nice and neat,
Its funny that’s what they do to mummies, while the corpse rots underneath,
Now I ain’t judging I’m just saying be careful of putting on a fake look,
Because there’s a problem if people only know that you’re a Christian by that little section on your facebook
In every other aspect of life you know that logics unworthy
Its like saying you play for the lakers just because you bought a jersey
But see I played this game too; no one seemed to be on to me,
I was acting like church kid, while addicted to pornography.
I’d go to church on Sunday, but on saturday getting faded,
Acting as if I was simply created to have sex and get wasted.
Spend my whole life putting on this fa├žade of neatness,
But now that I know Jesus, I boast in my weakness.
If grace is water, then the church should be an ocean,
Cuz its not a museum for good people, it’s a hospital for the broken
I no longer have to hide my failures I don’t have to hide my sin,
Because my salvation doesn’t depend on me, it depends on him.
because when I was Gods enemy and certainly not a fan,
God looked down on me and said, “I want that man!”
Which is so different from religious people, and why Jesus called em fools
Don’t you see hes so much better than just following some rules?
Now let me clarify, I love the church, I love the bible, and I believe in sin
But my question, is if Jesus were here today, would your church let Him in?
Remember He was called a drunkard and a glutton by  “religious men”
The Son of God not supported self-righteousness, not now, not then.

Now back to the topic, one thing I think is vital to mention,
How Jesus and religion are on opposite spectrums,
One is the work of God one is a man made invention,
One is the cure and one is the infection.
Because Religion says do, Jesus says done.
Religion says slave, Jesus says son,
Religion puts you in shackles but Jesus sets you free.
Religion makes you blind, but Jesus lets you see.

This is what makes religion and Jesus two different clans,
Religion is man searching for God, but Christianity is God searching for man.
Which is why salvation is freely mine, forgiveness is my own,
Not based on my efforts, but Christ’s obedience alone.
Because he took the crown of thorns, and blood that dripped down his face
He took what we all deserved, that’s why we call it grace.
While being murdered he yelled “father forgive them, they know not what they do”,
Because when he was dangling on that cross, he was thinking of you
He paid for all your sin, and then buried it in the tomb,
Which is why im kneeling at the cross now saying come on there’s room
So know I hate religion, in fact I literally resent it,
Because when Jesus cried It is finished, I believe He meant it.
